About Hair Loss
Alopecia is the medical term for Hair Loss. Hair loss may occur naturally or it may be related to disease or the use of certain medications. Symptoms of alopecia vary depending on the cause of the condition and range from a small bald patch to general hair thinning to a complete loss of all body hair in the most extreme case.
The actual cause of Hair Loss is unknown, however, it may be affected by:
- Genetic Weaknesses,
- Family History,
- Immune System disorders,
- Hormonal Imbalances,
- Allergic Reaction to certain medicines,
- Chemotherapy,
- Skin Problems of the Scalp,
- Physical and/or Emotional Stress and Illnesses,
- Poor Diet,
- Long Term Malnutrition of the Hair Follicle which makes hair dormant,
- Other factors.
Most Hair Loss is premature caused by a weak hair follicle becoming dormant. The hair root’s dormancy can usually be slowed down or reversed by:
- Assisting in balancing the body’s overall system, including improving blood circulation,
- Reducing stress and anxiety levels and improving overall sleeping patterns,
- Improving the nutrient supply to the hair follicle to nourish the hair follicle and thus stimulate hair growth.
